IRCCTracker.ca ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent Canadian immigration data tracker. We are not affiliated with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Government of Canada. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and share your personal information when you use our website at www.ircctracker.ca.

Information you provide directly: When you submit a consultation request or lead form on our website, we collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Visa or immigration application type
  • Country of origin (optional)
  • Description of your immigration situation
  • Urgency level

Information collected automatically: When you visit our website, we may collect standard web analytics data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on site, and referral source, through Google Analytics (G-G0HMBHKVTJ).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide primarily to connect you with licensed Canadian immigration lawyers and legal professionals. Specifically:

  • To transmit your inquiry to one or more licensed Canadian immigration lawyers or authorized immigration consultants who may be able to assist you
  • To facilitate the free consultation you requested
  • To improve our website and services
  • To send you relevant information about Canadian immigration, if you have opted in

4. Sharing and Selling of Your Information

Important: By submitting a consultation request on IRCCTracker.ca, you expressly consent to your personal information being shared with and sold to third-party immigration lawyers, immigration consultants, and legal service providers in Canada.

We may share your personal information with:

  • Immigration lawyers and authorized consultants: Licensed professionals who pay for introductions to prospective clients. Your information may be shared with one or more such professionals.
  • Lead distribution partners: Third-party services that distribute immigration leads to networks of licensed legal professionals.
  • Service providers: Technology providers who assist us in operating our website and database (including database hosting via Neon/PostgreSQL).

We do not sell your information to non-legal-services companies, marketers outside the immigration space, or to parties outside Canada without your additional consent.

When you submit a consultation request, you acknowledge that:

  • Your contact information will be shared with licensed immigration lawyers or consultants
  • You may be contacted by one or more such professionals
  • IRCCTracker.ca may receive compensation from those professionals in connection with your inquiry

5. Legal Basis for Processing (PIPEDA)

IRCCTracker.ca complies with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect and process your personal information on the basis of your express consent, given at the time you submit a consultation request. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (see Section 9).

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, and in any event for a minimum of 2 years to allow us to respond to any regulatory inquiries. You may request deletion of your information at any time.

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by adjusting your browser settings.
